THE GLORIOUS CHURCH, THE BRIDE OF CHRIST.
Behold, the body of Christ,
Behold the sons of God,
Behold the light of the world…but where, church is your light.
I looked in the volume of the books
To find what was written about the church,
And when I compare that with what I see,
I see a church that is losing its glory
I see a church that feels ordinary.
I see the royal priesthood that acts like an ordinary peasant in the hood.
I see the army of the Lord
Still struggling to put on their armor
I see shields down because your faith is so little, swords made blunt by ignorance of the Word
I see they who are called kings acting like they are powerless
I see greed and pride and judgment
I see lukewarmness and apathy and no true love.
The one love has become a raster man's anthem and not the Christian man's anthem.
I see the devil's ways, I see the devil’s delight
No! I want to see the Lord’s delight.
I want to see the glorious church
The vision of the master embedded in his mission to us.
The perfect bride of the groom
The one with enough oil in her lamp
Who burns till the King comes
The church built upon the rock like the rock
Sure and unshaken despite all storms
Standing and defying the gates of hell
We are the church
The Glorious Church
We are the presence of God
And we are His atmosphere
And wherever we go
Whatever we do
Whatever we see
Christ must be seen
This is the glory of God
That his church the bride will be seen so bright as light for that's what the church is
The light of the world worthy to be beheld by all
Behold the manifestation of the Sons of God
We are what creation has been waiting for
We are city set upon the hill
We are the light that is not hidden
We are the salt that does not lose its flavor
The Lord’s bride is His glory
The Lord’s bride must show forth His glory
The Lord’s bride must love the Lord with all her heart
And with all her soul
And with all her strength
The Lord’s bride must present herself holy
The Lord’s bride must give herself wholly
We are the Lord’s bride
Bought at a bloody price
And set apart to give our bodies as a sacrifice
As a temple where the Most High can dwell
We are the Bride of Christ
His beloved and His delight
And now this is my urge to us all
When the groom comes, may He find us ready
When the groom comes may He find us clothed with love and purity
When the groom comes may He find us adorned with righteousness
When the groom comes, may He find us glorious.
